Children’s and Dyad Therapy

Parenting has its challenges.

Children express and manage their emotions differently from adults. When challenges arise, they can find it difficult to manage their sadness or anger, which can create potential conflicts within the family.

Sometimes, children may have difficulty making friends, managing their feelings, or having conflicts with teachers, parents, or siblings.

For a parent, finding an effective way to interact with their child to meet their needs and minimize conflict can be difficult.

Child therapy can provide help for both you and your child.

Receive experienced and focused therapy.

Parenting can be both deeply rewarding and overwhelming. I specialize in working with parents and children ages 3–11 to strengthen their bond, reduce conflict, and support emotional growth.

In addition to family-based work, I also provide individual therapy for children experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma.

Many families come to me feeling disconnected, weighed down by stress, or unsure how to respond when their child is defiant, anxious, or struggling with big emotions.

Whether working with the family or with a child individually, my goal is to help children feel understood and supported while empowering parents with practical, compassionate tools.

Parents and children benefit from my approach.

In our work together, parents and children often participate in therapy as a team, while children may also engage in individual sessions tailored to their emotional and developmental needs.

I draw on Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Watch, Wait, and Wonder, and child-centered play therapy, integrating these with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed techniques.

Using play therapy in combination with other modalities allows children to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe, while building emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience.

Parents leave with tools to guide their children with more confidence and less guilt, while children leave feeling closer, calmer, and more secure.

Focus on your family.

As a mom myself, I know how hard it can be to find connection amid daily chaos.

My mission is to create a supportive space where both parents and children feel understood, valued, and safe – a place where families can experience more joy, closeness, and peace at home.

When I’m not working with families, I love spending time with my own kids and finding small moments of calm and connection in the middle of a busy life. I understand firsthand how much parents carry and how important it is to have the right support along the way.

Let me provide the support you and your child need.
